A fun snowed in D.I.Y. project

DIY: Martin Margiela Sandal Booties

These of course you wouldn't wear in the blistering snow...

Here's how by:

clutch22

What you need:
1. an old pair of black boots
2. old black sandals
3. scissors

Directions:
1. Cut large cuffs off the top of old pair of black leather/vinyl boots.
(When cutting, angle so back is longer than front.)
2. Fit cuffs over a pair of black heeled sandals (looks great with wedges or flats too).
(The shorter part should go over the top of your foot, the longer part in the back almost folded under the heel)

3. the final product should look like this. Play with positioning the cuff by rolling/folding fabric forward as needed.
(you can even sew them to how you want them to fit, you can also alternate what kind of sandal you want to use as well..)

Dress magic

My dear friend Celia is a amazing dress maker and a month or so ago she rounded up sum pretty Lady's to model for her. It was a crazy Sunday night of three girls in heavy make up short dresses and three artist taking photos fixing dresses and make up. There was sum whisky.... a good deal of Champagne and even more so of beer. The tiny room was full of smoke most of the night.

Its taken a while to get the photos but I wanted to share them with you guys because Moksha has begun to sell some of these very same dresses. I get really existed about truly talented designer's in this city and I hope you guys enjoy her work. Stop by the store to try them on if you like!!!

I'm not sure whether or not you have had a friend through out you life that has sent you a handful of artfully made or heartfully written letters or not.....but I have. Her name is Mari.

Mari is a elf from very northern part of Norway. She packs her days full of a hundred things worthy of doing, weather it is taking astounding photos, working at the local theatre, acting in play, dj'ing, writing for news paper, enjoying parties in a drunken and cheeky manner, working her day job or doing home work....she always finds the time to keep in touch with her many friends around the world by sending them long sweet letters ever mind by sending me a few months.

The other day she blew my mind by sending me a letter from her new home in Paris. There was a lovely pair of Eiffel tower stamps on the large envelope and when I opened it I found a large print of bowie out of a David Bowie poster from his show in Santa Monica in 1972. I was very excited because Bowie is somewhat of a god to me, and at that moment I had in my possession a new poster of DAVID BOWIE!; Then on the back was the most beautiful letter written I had ever seen.

So my friends, if you have the time try and make some sweet letter for your good friends and send it to them. I promise it will make their week even if it's a friend you see all of the time and lives here. I'm sure it will be fucking magical for them!
