My friend Bill has her own salon in this really rad bar/cafe in the u district. Tomorrow night there is going to be a wonderful soiree inspired by Halloween. A art showing, zombie belly dancing, a spooky hair show and a fabulous band.

A lovely show at the frye art museum

Last week I had the pleasure of being able to view the current exhibit at the Frye art myseum, The Old, Weird America. I absolutly loved it and was very inspired by all the different art work. I'm posting some photos here of some of the artist that are in the show. Sadly I wasn't able to find photos of some of the pieces I liked the most. So I suggest you go see them in person!! One of my favorite things about the show was the variety of different medias of art that were showcased. There was film instalations, paintings, dolls, masks, and photography.

Goorin Bros Grand Opening Party

Did you hear about our new neighbors? Goorin Bros recently opened up a new hat shop on The Ave and will be celebrating their Grand Opening today Saturday, October 10, 2009 from 4-10pm. The festivities will kick off with an in-store event featuring a performance by local hip hop favorites Blue Scholars along with music by Vitamin D and Ruby Red-I. Did we mention that they will have food and drinks? Get some! GO!
