Remember our friends Naima and Isabella? We sponsored them in a snowboarding competition this past weekend in Snoqualmie and we're happy they had a great time. I watched a movie last week called waking life. It's a compilation of short clips that touch on philosophical thoughts - thoughts that don't normally cross our minds. Sometimes the characters babble on vaguely and obnoxiously, but the points they end up making are usually mind-expanding. For example:

"...two people meeting on a road, and instead of just passing and glancing away they decide to accept the confrontation between their souls." Shortly after watching the movie i had such an experience, and I can definitely say that accepting the confrontation between two souls rather than being a zombie ant was the better choice. KEEP THAT IN MIND!

This makes me tear up every time.

I have felt that from the first time I heard Townes Van Zandt that his music held more truth then any other music I have ever heard. I watched an astounding documentary about him called Be Here to Love Me. I hope you check it out some time. I guarantee you will enjoy it.

BOWIEMAS THIS FRIDAY!!

Hey everyone its the sixth annual celebration of the Holy Birth of our Lord, and Savior, David Bowie!!

This is the first year that the event will be held on Bowie's actual Birthday. Magic abound! This year there will be a bar, burlesque from Seattle's finest, Catered food (hopefully), Personal Bowie Photos(similar to a Santa photo) possibly a Bowie look alike contest, and oh-so-much-more.

This is a formal event, so please be sure to wear outrageous make-up, your finest glitter, favorite wig, or best Bowie costume!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION BELOW, PLEASE READ*

In an attempt to return Bowiemas to the intimate event it was years ago, we will be selling a limited number of pre sale tickets, any remaining tickets will be sold at the door but will most likely be sold out by that point.
Tickets are available through Myself, Rose or Moksha Clothing (4542 University Way NE Across from Thai Toms).
Because of the large volume of Bowiemas, this year will be 21+, our apologies to our younger friends.
